No rest for the wicked

Yesterday, or actually the day before now, I started playing around with the skull for my daughter's Pandora costume.  Take an inexpensive Halloween decoration and add some clay to build it up the way you need it, install a small battery pack and LED lights, then paint and detail.  Sounds simple enough; until the clay dried and didn't stay put.  Dodo head forgot to pre-sand the surface so it would stick.  Ok, lesson learned, won't do that again and have now re-thought the whole design; going to use craft foam instead.  This will keep it light (she has to carry it around all day at ComicCon) and it is still a very easy medium to work with.

Also yesterday I played with my Wonderflex for the first time and fell in love with it.  Decided to piddle with it on a mask I can't seem to make up my mind on for the neighbor - I have played with a couple mediums but I think I am going to use the Wonderflex.  It's light, mold-able, yet sturdy.  I need to whip it out this weekend and finish it up so I can get it off my plate.  I am going to use my 'piddle' for a pattern, in 2 parts, to get the proper feel for the 'mouth' of the mask and then the paint is quick, just red and white.  Oh, and I need to pick up something for the eyes, a gauze or something like it - thin and white so he can still see.

Batwoman's gloves came and they match the material I purchased to make the utility belt, guantlet, and symbol perfectly.  That was a load off my mind.  The material for the cape should be here tomorrow, so will be laying out the design for it this weekend as well.

Can you say busy body????
